Parking Citations
Parking citations are issued by parking Sheriff enforcement officials for violating state parking laws (California Vehicle Code) or city parking laws (La Cañada Flintridge Municipal Code).
City of La Cañada Flintridge contracts with the Citation Processing Center to provide citation processing services and payment collections on behalf of the City of La Cañada Flintridge

Parking Citations- Low Income Payment Plan

Parking Permits
Parking permits are available for certain streets where parking restrictions exist. Those streets include:

Note that parking permits are specific to the single street the resident applies for. Permits are valid for one calendar year (January 1- December 31), and needs to be renewed each year’s end for continued use.
Recreational Vehicle Parking Permit
Permits are required for the Parking of recreational vehicles in the public right of way (LCFMC 8.11.020) or the front yard setback (LCFMC 11.11.050(D)(4)(g).
A “Recreational Vehicle” is defined as a motorized or nonmotorized vehicle primarily designed for recreation, camping, animal transportation, human habitation, or similar uses. Examples of recreational vehicles include but are not limited to any of the following: motor homes, trailers, boats, all-terrain vehicles, or similar vehicles. Pickup trucks with attached utility camper shells not designed for animal transportation, camping, or human habitation, and used primarily for transportation and/or commercial use are excluded from this definition.
Only a property owner can apply for a permit and the oversized vehicle must be parked in the public right of way abutting the applicant’s property or in the front yard setback of the applicant’s property. Applications not submitted by a property owner are considered invalid and are subject to citation or tow.
Permits are limited to 14 days per calendar year, per vehicle license plate. The permit will indicate how many days the vehicle is allowed to be parked. Permits are issued for a 24 hour period. A permit can be issued for as little as 1 day or as long as 14 days.
Flim Permits
A Film Permit is required for all activities in relations to motion picture, radio and television production (e.g., feature films and non-current news radio and television shows), still photography activity (e.g., photos to be used for commercial ads in various publications, such as magazines or catalogs) and student productions within the City limits.
Film production/still photography activity is permitted from 7 AM to 9 PM Monday through Saturday. Under certain conditions, filming may be permitted from 6 AM through 11:59 PM Monday through Saturday. Filming is prohibited on Sunday, City holidays or from 12 AM to 5:59 AM. A separate film permit application is required for each property used within the City.
Residents who wish to object to all filming activities within 300 feet of their property may complete the Objection Form and email to filmpermit@lcf.ca.gov. The objection form expires at the end of each calendar year.
To apply:
Complete the City’s Online Application (no later than 12:00 pm a minimum five business days, excluding city holidays) in advance of the scheduled start date. A complete application includes the following:
- Application form with all fields completed
- For fields that do not apply list “None”.
- Copy of the Permission to Use Property form signed by Property Owner,
- Proof of insurance form with “City of La Cañada Flintridge” listed as additional insured*. Please attach PDF file on final page of application
*Applicant is to maintain in full force and effect general liability and automobile liability insurance each in the amounts not less than one million dollars ($1,000,000.00) per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage, with a combined aggregate of two million dollars ($2,000,000.00). During any activity which includes chase scenes, special effects, stunts or activities involving aircraft, not less than two million dollars ($2,000,000.00) per occurrence for bodily injury and property damage insurance shall be required. All insurance policies will name, by endorsement, the city as an additional insured to the extent of the liability assumed by applicant, and protect the city against any legal costs in defending claims.
Only applications which include all the listed items above will be deemed complete and ready for review. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed nor considered.
Once a complete application is submitted, City staff will contact the production company regarding fees and other requirements to obtain a permit.
Banner Permit
There are two banner permits applicable to different locations(applications cannot be submitted more than 3-weeks before the event):
Banner Permit-Caltrans Parking Lot: Community groups who wish to advertise on Caltrans Parking Lot display wall may pull a Banner Permit-Caltrans Parking Lot.
Banner Permit-Street Light: Banner Permit-Street Light may be pulled for community group events which are sponsored by the City.

Bingo License
In accordance with the City’s Municipal Code Chapter 5.01, regarding Bingo, bingo games are limited to tax exempt organizations and senior citizen organizations with an approved City Bingo License. Any such organization wishing to conduct bingo games must complete a Bingo License application for approval by the City. Bingo games may be conducted for no more than 6 hours within a 24 hour period, and may not be played during the hours of 2:00 am – 10:00 am. Bingo Licenses are valid for a one year period.
