The City Clerk’s Office oversees the legislative history of the City Council, is responsible for the care and custody of all City records, and researches and disseminates information for staff and the public. This office is responsible for administering the City’s legislative process, including the publication of legal notices, agenda preparation, minutes preparation, recording meetings, and records management. The City Clerk also acts as the service agent for the City regarding claims, subpoenas and summons, legislative history, bids, contracts, archives, and election activities. The City Clerk serves as the local elections official, conducting all municipal elections, as well as serving as the filing officer for Political Reform Act regulations.
