2023 HOMETOWN HEROES BANNER PROGRAM GUIDELINES

The application period is closed.

The City of La Cañada Flintridge Hometown Heroes Banner Program recognizes our community’s men and women in uniform who are currently serving in the Armed Forces, veterans who have served in the past, or veterans of the past.

Purpose

The Hometown Heroes Banner Program is designed to honor veterans. The City Council established the program in October 2023 as an opportunity for the community to recognize residents or their immediate family members who are serving or served in the United States Armed Forces.

Creating and installing banners to be displayed on city light posts is a tribute to our brave residents who have served or continue to serve our country. The program includes designing and printing a banner for each participating veteran or active service member and installing the banners on light poles in the City during the month of November. The banners will feature the service member’s full name, rank, photograph and branch of service.
