The La Canada Unified School District will host an upcoming educational seminar focused on raising awareness about fentanyl and providing training on naloxone administration. The seminar aims to equip attendees with vital information on identifying fentanyl, understanding its effects, and learning life-saving techniques to combat opioid overdoses.

The seminar, titled “Take Action: What Teens, Their Friends and Their Parents Need to Know about Fentanyl,” will take place on March 21, 20224, at 6:30PM, at LCHS Auditorium. It will be open to all members of the community who are interested in learning more about this pressing issue. The event will feature expert speakers who will delve into various aspects of fentanyl, including its prevalence, risks, and impact on individuals and communities.

In addition to educational sessions on fentanyl, the seminar will include training on the administration of naloxone, commonly known as Narcan. Naloxone is a medication that can rapidly reverse opioid overdose and is an essential tool in saving lives.

The seminar is free to attend, and registration is open to all interested individuals. Attendees are encouraged to register in advance to secure their spot.
