The La Cañada Flintridge Chamber of Commerce and City invite residents to attend their free Community Connections event to learn from representatives from the LA County Sheriff’s Department, Fire Department and California Highway Patrol on emergency preparedness and the resources available to LCF residents, all while making community connections with neighbors and community members. The event will be held on Thursday, September 14 from 5-7 p.m.PM in the Caltrans parking lot across from Memorial Park (1301 Foothill Blvd).

“We are proud to be co-hosting the first Community Connections Event in LCF,” said LCF Chamber of Commerce Chairman Mike Leininger. “We prioritize resident camaraderie and safety here in LCF, and this event will remind community members of the various resources we offer to ensure they are well-equipped in the event of an emergency.”

Attendees can enjoy food for purchase, a bounce house for little ones and a special Chamber membership drive. At the event, the Chamber is waiving processing fees for business memberships and 50% off residential memberships. Additionally, residents can get to know their current LCF Royal Court and pick up a 2024 Miss LCF application.

“The Community Connects event underscores the City’s commitment to providing residents with opportunities to build relationships with one another and essential first responders,” stated City Manager Daniel Jordan. “We invite all residents to join us on September 14 to not only enhance your emergency preparedness knowledge but take part in building the community that defines our remarkable city.”

The Community Connections event is the first of many emergency preparedness events that will be hosted in the community, look for more event dates on the City’s website and by subscribing for the City’s LCF Bulletin: https://bit.ly/47OQZkw
