Public Safety Rebate Programs | City of La Cañada Flintridge

The City of La Cañada Flintridge encourages residents AND business owners to safeguard their homes/businesses. The following rebate programs provide an opportunity to protect your home/business and save money.

Security and Alarm System Rebate offers a one-time rebate of up to $250 for purchasing a home security and alarm system. Please note that a qualifying alarm system must monitor all major entry points and trigger alarms when unauthorized entry to the interior of the building occurs.
Security Camera Rebate offers a one-time rebate of up to a $100 rebate for purchasing a security camera only.

Eligibility for Either Program

To participate, residents/business must meet the following guidelines:

Be a current La Cañada Flintridge resident/local business with proof of residency on a valid government-issued ID/valid business license;
Provide a current utility bill that matches the name and address on the proof of residency ID (Residential Property);
Provide a letter granting permission to install alarm system if the business is on leased property (Commercial Property);
Own or rent the La Cañada Flintridge property where the security system is installed.
- If renting, provide a signed letter from the property owner giving consent for installation.

Eligible residents/businesses can apply to be considered for the one-time rebate by completing the following steps:

Submit an application within 60 days of the purchase date.
Upload proof of residency on a valid government-issued ID/valid business license.
Upload a current utility bill of the residence that matches the name and address on the proof of residency ID (Residential Property).
Upload a letter granting permission to install camera if the business is on leased property (Commercial Property).
Upload proof of purchase AFTER the start of the rebate program.
Upload photo of the opened devices with the serial/model number visible.
Upload proof of installation with a date-stamped photo showing installation took place AFTER the start of the rebate program.

Applications must be submitted within 60 days of the purchase date. Each rebate program will be limited to one per household and offered on a first-come, first-served basis while funds remain.

New Security Alarm System Rebate Program

Residents and business owners will be eligible for a one-time rebate of up to $250 for purchasing a home/commercial security and alarm system. Eligible products include a stand-alone alarm system or an alarm system with augmented security capabilities such as a security camera system, doorbell camera, exterior flood light with cameras, motion sensor light with cameras, or similar products. Please note that a qualifying alarm system must monitor all major entry points and trigger alarms when unauthorized entry to the interior of the building occurs. The rebate may not pay for fees for a security service; it only applies to eligible security hardware and initial setup costs, as described above.

Security Camera Rebate Program

Residents/local business owners who install a security camera and provide proof of installation and purchase can receive up to a $100 rebate from the City on a qualifying purchase (camera only, installation costs are not qualified for the rebate).
