La Cañada Flintridge, CA – On Thursday, March 25, the La Cañada Flintridge Youth Council will host a free virtual workshop designed to teach financial literacy basics to the community’s youth. The workshop will take place from 3:00-5:00 p.m.

Speakers will cover basic financial literacy topics, including financial management basics, saving to buy a car, paying for college, retirement savings and introductions to stocks, bonds and real estate*. The workshop is geared toward middle school and high school students but all ages are welcome to attend.

“This annual event is a great opportunity for youth in the community to learn more about financial basics with guidance from experts,” said Youth Council Staff Liaison Robert Bauman. “We hope that by hosting the event virtually this year, even more interested young people will be able to attend.”
