On Friday, October 23, 2020, the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health (DPH) issued a revision to the “Safer at Work and in the Community” Health Order. The revised order allows the following:
- Personal care establishments (personal care that requires touching of a client’s face: facials, electrolysis, waxing, hair salons, nail salons, barbershops, skin care, body art professionals, etc.) to offer modified indoor services.
- Batting cages, miniature golf, and go-cart racing may operate outdoors only (arcades and indoor entertainment operations must remain closed).
- Increased the percentage of students with high needs allowed on a K-12 campus at any one time from 10% to 25%.
- Schools may reopen TK-2nd Grades for classroom instruction only with a waiver application approved by DPH.
The revised Health Officer Order also specifies that food court dining areas and specified common areas located within an indoor mall or shopping center must remain closed to the public until further notice.
For guidance on how to re-open, please see the County’s order attached.
The City of La Canada Flintridge continues to support the directives issued by DPH and encourages all of our residents to comply with the social (physical) distancing measures and the use of face coverings whenever interacting with persons outside of your personal household.
