On Monday, July 13, 2020, the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health (DPH) issued a revision to the “Safer at Work and in the Community” Health Order, requiring various sectors to cease indoor operations. The County Health Order permits some of these sectors to transition their business to outdoor operations.
Per the order of the City’s Director of Emergency Services, the following businesses will not be required to apply for a temporary use permit if they decide to transition to outdoor operations. Note that all DPH guidelines, and those set forth in the attached City Order, are required in order to operate a business in an outdoor setting.
The following businesses must continue to stop all indoor operations, but may operate outdoors in the City, if guidelines and requirements are met:
- Restaurants & Cafes,
- Gyms & Fitness Centers,
- Places of Worship,
- Personal Care Services: Nail, Massage Therapy, Hair Salons, Barbershops,
- Any business identified by County DPH as eligible for outdoor activities.
The City of La Canada Flintridge continues to support the directives issued by DPH and encourages all of our residents to comply with the social (physical) distancing measures and the use of face coverings whenever interacting with persons outside of your personal household.
A special e-mail address has been established to respond to concerns or questions from the community regarding the City’s response to the current crisis. Please feel free to e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org and the City will respond to you.
