Fixed Route Services

Fixed route transit service operates along a specific route with a fixed schedule. The LCF Shuttle and Glendale Beeline provide weekday fixed route service along Foothill Blvd. Three additional local transit operators provide service to at least one of the City’s 34 bus stops, including Pasadena Transit, LA Metro, and LADOT Commuter Express.

On-Demand Services

On-demand transit services are shared rides that can be scheduled either immediately or up to a week in advance by phone, app, or online. The City partners with Glendale for Dial-A-Ride on-demand services for residents 60+ years of age and for residents of all ages with a disability. LA Metro’s Metro Micro pilot currently provides on-demand service from the Oak Grove bus stops to portions of Pasadena, Altadena, and Sierra Madre.

Recreational Shuttles. The City partners with the County of Los Angeles for the Summer Beach Bus, providing free, direct roundtrip service from Memorial Park to Santa Monica Beach on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from mid-June through Labor Day.

Vehicle Commutes. Vehicles are the most common mode of commuter travel for LCF residents. The City has three Park & Ride locations—to support multi-modal connections to fixed route services, as well as providing a meetup location for carpools and vanpools.

Electric Vehicle Charging.

The City owns and maintains (6) Level 2 ChargePoint stations for electric vehicle charging. Rates are $2.00 for the first 3 hours and $5.00 thereafter. A ChargePoint account is not required to use the charging stations.
